Panama and Costa Rica Both Drop One Spot on the Best Places to Retire List.-

Does the ranking have an impact? Of course it does, this report is spread far and wide yearly. As you may know we live in Panama and our company is based here. Panama and Costa Rica are the two countries that we focus our social media and marketing business on.  My favorite aspect of these countries, that we love, is stability.

The cost of living has risen in both countries over the last few years. It does not take a genius to figure out that inflation in the countries is much higher than governments report. The only thing that is cheaper over the last few months is gasoline. There is a truth that the article fails to mention, see my article “The Panama Economy to Remain Hot in 2015”. The Panama economy will grow at a 6.4-7% clip in 2015 which is tops in this hemisphere. Costa Rica is predicted to grow 3.6-4%. See the list for Central America below.

Residency in Panama-

If nothing else the International Livings, “Best places to Retire in 2015”, list does something that the Panama government fails to do. It lets people know that Panama is a great country to retire in or move to. If you have not read my article, “Residency in Panama, Avoid the Pitfalls”. I recommend you do and learn your options.

Costa Rica Does a Great Job of Marketing-

Costa Rica may be ranked #5 on the list of. “Best Places to Retire in 2015”, but they are the best at marketing their country. We love Costa Rica and go a few times per year for a break. Our favorite destination has been Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean side. We always stay at Physis Caribbean Bed & Breakfast.

Costa Rica, “Save the Americans” campaign.-
